Festival Charity for 2012

There will be no Sussex Branches Beer & Cider Festival in 2020; hopefully back in 2021!.

We're pleased to announce that the official charity of the 22nd Sussex Beer & Cider Festival will be Leo House at home. You can find out more about them at www.leohouse.org.uk, as well as the information they've given us below...

Leo House at Home is a local charity which funds respite care nurses for life-limited children and young people. These children have complex needs and require 24 hour care; our nurses are a life-line for their families.

We work with Chestnut Tree House and fund 5 of their Community Team nurses. These ‘Leo House Nurses’ are able to provide a range of support for the children and their families. For example, when the sick child is safe in the care of the Leo House Nurse, parents are able to spend time with their other children.

The nurses are able to help families from the time of diagnosis, provide respite care, advice on sources of help and become friends of the young person. You can read some of our children’s stories on our website:

Leo House at Home is very grateful for the support of the Sussex Beer and Cider Festival. We receive no statutory funding so rely on donations from individual and local organisations.
